Default VCT Solenoid Replacement

I purchased a 2006 F150 FX4, my dream truck, about 2 years ago. Like a fool i purchased it with a check engine light on, guy told me it was an oxygen sensor. The truck ran so good i thought it could not be something serious. $3,200 later the light was off and i had new timing chain, cam phasers, cam sensors, coil packs and plugs, etc. A year and a half later it is running lousy again, reads cam sensor issues but i found out that if the VCT Solenoids are stuck open or bad that it will show cam sensor problems on the computer. Anyone experienced with this, I need help this truck is putting me in a slow grave!!!

If the vct solenoids are original, they could need replacement.

Try unplugging the vct solenoids 1 at a time to see if it changes. Report back to us if it stays the same. Also what weight oil an oil filter are you running and do you know if you have the updated solenoids or the original ones.
