Question Used 2008 F150

Hi! New to this forum and I have a question.

Thinking of buying a used 2008 F150. Anyone know of any issues that would help me decide for or esp against this model?
Thanks!

I have an 08' Lariat that I purchased last March with 22,000 miles. So far I love it and have not had any problems with it.

Give us a little info on the truck and a pic if possible.

I've got an '08 XL model, and even I have no complaints.

I would make sure to get the 5.4. I have a 4.6 and there is a world of difference. I would hold off until I could get the model year that came out with the 6 speed auto trans. '09/10?

Price, body style, and options are issues. To provide any opinion for or against, these would be helpful to know.

I have a screw FX4 and have not had any major problems. I did recently have an upper ball joint replace at inspection under warranty. I kind of wonder how it went bad with 21,000 on the odometer. Other than that the truck has been great. I'm not sure I'd go for the six speed. I wonder why Ford made the thing that you can't check the fluid level.

my 08 has been ok, i had the "tranny flare" fixed by the dealership, they re-flashed the pcm i believe with updated software, it worked, no more flare around 28mph...... it was free under warranty, thats all i can think of, very pleased with mine, oh the annoying tap/tick of the 5.4L motor is annoying and loud with the windows down....my flowmaster drones it out most of the time tho... good luck (43,000 miles as of today)
