Upper Steering Shaft Replacement - Any tips/advice?
I replaced the lower steering shaft yesterday and after installing it, I noticed the upper shaft had much more play in it than I thought it did, and now the feel of the steering is driving me even more nuts than before replacing the lower shaft.
I've done the lower shaft quite a few times from back when I worked in shops, but I've never done the upper shaft before so just looking for some tips/info on replacing it so I don't end up doing more than I have to. I know replacing both upper and lower shafts calls for 1.8 hours, the lower shaft only took me 20-30 min replace. How difficult is the upper shaft? Anyone have some tips/tricks to make the job go smoothly?
