upper control arms and ball joints

Default upper control arms and ball joints

well after putting on my leveling kit, i took it to get a alignment, the shop told me i need new lower ball joints! f***! i could of did that while i was under there. oh well now, so heres the thing should i buy upper control arms too and just get it over with since im under there again? the truck has 88,000 miles on it 04 f150 new body 4wd.

If it were me I'd go head and replace them while your at it. If your gonna tear it down might as well get it all done while your under it. and if the lowers need to be replaced the top probably will soon, especially with the added wear of a level.

yea thats what i decided to do. went with the mevotech lower ball joints and the moog upper control arms from rockauto.

To replace the upper ball joints, is it necessary to buy the control arm as well or not?

Yes, you have to buy the whole arm for the upper.
