ATOM,
Thnaks good to know.

Bucko,

Further research shows that the scangauge II has an update that allows you to see 13 additional parameters. This includes the trans fluid temp ( a significant one for me as I'll be pulling trailers from time to time.) The update is frree for some units and $25 for older ones. you would need to check your purchase date.

Good to know....Mine already provides the trans temp (TFT); that was one of my reasons of buying it. Before I installed a trans cooler (I did not have the factory tow package), the SCANGUAGE showed the trans temps in the 173 to 178 degree range. I now run between 141 to 145. It's AFRICA hot in Texas right now, so they could drop more in the fall/winter season.

I downloaded their "XGUAGE" guide, but have not figured it out yet; plan to email them (or call) to better understand how I can add the additional functions. Right now I have it displaying trans temp (TFT), miles per gallon (MPG), gallons per hour (GPH), and water temp.

I've used it to read and clear a code (had a loose clamp on the CAI; the filter dropped, and the engine ran like crap going down the road). I was able to limp into a parking lot, and tighten down the clamp, then use the SCANGUAGE to read/clear the code.
