Default Upgraded Cam

Any suggestions on a performance cam on a 06 5.4 triton?

Looking for a little more horsepower, and a little more sound.

I have a cold air intake and exhaust on it right now.

Lots and lots of money for not a whole lot of power. If you are looking for some power go with forced induction. These motors respond to boost like you wouldn't believe. Thats not the case with cams though. Put a Whipple on it and go have some fun.

Had an 02 super charged harley. That thing was a lot of fun. I really just want to get more hp and power out of my truck, any suggestions?

Played with the Harley trucks a little. Not bad but no where near what I have now. What are your goals and how much do you want to spend?

Bought the truck about a month ago. I am on a firefighter salary so my money isnt great right now, so dont want to spend an arm and a leg.

The truck came with a air raid cold air intake, and exhaust, that is like the lightning exhaust coming out of the side. (not sure if that makes a big difference or any a all)

I want a little more power in the throttle, and more torque.

I Also want it to sound a little bit more mean (if that makes sense)

let me know.

Would this do me any good. Honestly, i have different things about tuners in general.

but, would this be something to buy, or worth the money?

I just looked into swapping cams. For the cost to do it, you may as well go with a supercharger. By the time you get the cams and hardware, change the VCT to work with the new cams, and tune the PCM, you can bolt in a supercharger for a little extra and get an actual gain.

I know where you're coming from though. I think half of me wanted the power, and the other half just wanted that 'lope' sound of a big cam.

And I would definitely go with a tuner. I bought a Diablosport for $140, and it was the best money I spent on the truck. I hear that the Edge and Gryphon are the best. As long as that Edge on Craigslist is legit and working, I'd say go for it and spend the $200. You won't be dissapointed.
