Default Undercoating

So I live in Columbus, OH and go through a lot of rain and snow. I was looking at having the truck under coated at Line-X. The quote was reasonable and it's done the same day. Wondering if anyone has done this on a 2008-ish F150 since I know many say "new" vehicles come from the factory with rust protection. Is it worth the money to have it done and protect my investment so to say? Thanks guys for input. I am having the bed done and color matched silver as well

Sorry to hear you live in Columbus (GO BLUE!)

Undercoating on today's cars and trucks, for the purpose of preventing rust, is widely considered a waste of money. Just like extended warranties, but people do both.

I've heard the same thing many times.
For me, a good undercoating job is well worth it. Even with undercoating, you still need to clean the underside frequently during the road salt season.
I have been in Ohio for 20+ years. My vehicles still look good when others the same age are showing rusty panels. Good enough proof for me.
As for the extended warrantee - mine has paid off on the 2010 SHO already.
For either of the above items tho - if you pay dealership prices, you are paying far too much. Both are available for much less money directly from the companies that provide the services.
