Default twisted rear end

I know that this is completely my fault , after doing a burnout I felt a bad vibration under the truck, upon further inspection I noticed that the passenger side axle housing was twisted forward and the Center housing of the differential was pointing up. I took off the rear tires and tried to get the axle back into position unsuccessfully .. I put the tires back on, put the truck in reverse and hit it.. everything is back in place now but I can c were the rivets or welds are moving. has anyone here dealt with this issue or had the axle housing rewelded??

thank you for the advice but I actually would like to know if someone here has experienced the same issue, and if there is a way to reinforce the rear ends so this wont happen again, before I take it to the shop..

He gave you the best bit of advice take it to a good rear end shop to get rewelded. And them ask them to reinforce it. They can put in stronger axle shafts or put an axle truss on it.

I used to do burnouts and slide her sideways all the time well i also start to get a bad vibration. Let my gpa drive he told me it wasnt the rearend well i was out of school one friday. I jacked the whole rearend up in the middle and put it in drive and kinda got under there well i noticed my driveshaft didnt have a bolt in it while it was moving so i put it in park got under there and what do you no one was gone and another one wasnt even finger tight. Went and bought to new ones and haveng had a problem yet. But the vibration i had ot felt like the dash was gonna fall apart.

it's definitely nice to have all the extra power, but it sure comes at a price... very quickly you start finding out all the weak spots in our trucks!!

And no offense to you or our trucks but our 150s have a lot of weak spots when it come to adding power. Unlike our diesel big brothers its very hard on the trucks.

And I have a 4.6 with an even smaller rear end. Just imagine that.

At least they are strong where it counts.

And keep us updated on the fix.

I thought of something else cheaper to fix it too. I believe out axles are plug welded in place. You can have it welded 360 degrees around to prevent this issue and strengthen the axle. I have seen it done for offroad applications. I am sure the same though can be applied here.
