I ordered a sct bdx tuner on Amazon. It says it was compatible with my 2006 f150.

I get it today plug it in and all I'm getting is general error 13003- Cannot find firmware for vehicle.

Then I get on sct website and it says not compatible.

Now I need to know what everyone else is using? What is the best tuner with preloaded tunes?

 

Spoke with SCT customer service and verified it was the wrong part and not compatible.

Ended up ordering the SCT X4 which he said is compatible.

That's the last time I'll trust Amazon for vehicle fitment. Lol

Send that junk back , and call 5 Star Tuning and get their custom tunes. Their tunes are far superior to SCTs "canned" tunes for the same price.

LOL! just looked at their site. They sell the SCT on there and I'm able to load 5 star tunes through the SCT. So I'll keep it, and get the email tunes from 5 star and try both

 

I had MPT tunes with the SCT X4 on my '07, absolutely loved it. I've heard the MPT tunes are sportier from some, and that 5 star are better from others. Either one you pick, they're SIGNIFICANTLY better than the "canned" tunes. Those are basically garbage in comparison.
