Default Tuner help....

so here it is guys. ive just recently purchased the SCT x3 tuner. First impressions. throttle response is greatly improved WOT is pretty good also. I have a few questions:

spark adj:
0-2000
2000-4000
4000-8000
Shift points:
1st-2nd
2nd-3rd
3rd-4th
I see you can add or subtract MPH with this...still dont understand what its for.
I played around with the shift firmness and have that set pretty well, as for the above..havent really got into it much seeing as i dont quite understand the ups and downs. im running CAI, dual exhaust
any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The adding or subtracting mph is for when the tranny shifts. Say if it typically shifts from 2nd into 3rd at 22 mph, you can lower it by three or bump it by max three so it would shift at 19 mph or 25 mph respectively.
