A True Off Road Bumper
#21
so you are looking at $1500 something for it with shipping... my stuff is free shipping and fits the truck better.... and doesnt have any 1/8th in plate to bend and fold....BTW what are those boxes on each side hanging down on the F150?
and you may want to talk to the guys at duraliner because I have pictures somewhere of the fitment of your bumper and they arent to happy with you guys... granted it was free, but they were complaining up a storm and begging me to replace it with mine when they saw it.... (not trying to be an *****, but i have to be honest)

I said that we could work the shipping in for the $1269.00. The shell is now 3/16", the inside, brackets & winch mount, are 1/4". They arent going to bend easily and it helps keep the weight down so that it doesnt wear out the front end of the truck. The boxes hanging down on the hood pro truck are there to accommodate the 3" body lift on the truck, we do those kinda things for our customers. The reason the Dualliner truck bumpers didnt fit right was because they had told us it was a 2008 by mistake, when it was actually a 2005! We still have the email from them stating it is a 2008 F150 to prove it if we have to go JR high. They also had 4" fiberglass fenders on the front of the truck which also makes a difference. The bumper would have fit perfectly on the right truck. Look at any truck on our website and you will see all of our bumpers fit like they should. We did not get on this forum to spend our time defending our product we joined due to the fact we have customers on this forum and the F150 bumpers are our best sellers. We are not on any Dodge or Chevy forums. We chose to offer specials to the members of this forum, we usually dont negociate our prices with our customers, like working in the shipping. I am still not going to cut down the Iron Bull bumpers, but I really dont think you are representing your product very well. You think your bumpers are better than ours, thats fine but if you believe so much in your product then you really shouldnt feel the need to critisize others. We dont feel the need to and wont so I would appreciate it if you would show some respect and professionalism and stick with talking about your product and not ours. If they want your product they will get it, if they want ours they will get it. If they dont want ours thats fine, we arent on here to try and push our bumpers onto anyone. We are just offering them. From this point on we would like to stick with answering questions about our products for potential customers.
Thank you

i think from reading many post on this forum i would definitely go with Boondock due to they seem WAY more professional in their business. in nearly every thread about a bumper on this site you see DunesRunner08 ranting on about how great his product is and putting down every other manufacturer, just seems kind of childish to me.

I for one appreciate your professionalism Boondock. Its tough as a consumer to figure out which product on the market is better than the other without banking too much on what each company cheerleader says. I for one dont think I will ever own one of these bumpers due to the price and the weight, but IF I were in the market for one I feel that I would want to at least talk to Boondock bumpers about there product simply due to the way they handle themselves.
This is in no way a bash on Bill (dunesrunner) either.....I have talked to him and he seems like a good guy.
I think the best way to handle this kind of stuff is to compare specs, prices, and even pictures, and if one product is so much better than the other it should be obvious to the consumer. IMO this could be done in good taste by all parties involved and would not come across as "bashing"
Now lets see some good pics of some F150s with these bumpers on! I havent seen very many floating around yet.

Thank you both. Like I've said before there are a lot of good bumper manufactures out there. BoonDocks is still a young company but we are growing like crazy and have made a lot of improvements to our products over time. If a person prefers another manufactures product over ours we understand, it depends on the persons personal taste and budget. It would be great to get everyone out there to purchase our bumpers, but we arent going to say negative things about anyones products to try and get customers. Iron Bull, Ranch Hand, Frontier, etc they are all good products.

I just got emailed about this thread. I have to stand behind Boondock Bumpers for quality build. I've been deployed for the last several months but I meant to tell the guys at Boondock that I hit a whitetail doe a few months back. I was going about 40 mph down gravel road in a storm when that big girl popped out of the trees in front of me. The deer got nailed on the right side of my truck and it just slid right off the truck due to the design of the bumper. I have no damage what so ever.
See how the boondocks angles out? That's what made the deer slide off and not give blunt force damage. I actually got it on video too so I'll have to send you all that video clip for the website.
I do have some issues with the old finish though, it cracked and started to come off in places. So I'm glad to hear Boondocks changed to a powder coat so that problem won't happen to anyone else. Over all though they are very good bumpers.
