There are known issues with 3rd party alts on some of these trucks. Buy a Ford remanufactured and get back to life or take to a dealer.

Update- put the new alternator on and everything is good!
Appreciate all the help!
Also I have an 06 with the tow package (brake controller, etc) and my alternator has HD on the back. Is this the HD 130amp alternator I hear people talking about that they saw was listed on the sticker and come to find out they just got a regular 110amp?
