I have a 2004 fx4 with 131k miles and i was driving home from work the other day and the engine warning light came on and it was juddering at around 40 ish or when you tried to accelerate.

When i came to a stop it wasnt idling correctly was was obviously missing.

I had it plugged in and it returned the code p0306 so its missing on pot 6...

i then drove home and it is no longer missing and has none of the symptoms that it had before


why could this have happened??

what do i need to do to prevent it happening again??

sounds like a bad coil pack to me

 

the coils are all on individual plugs on these motors arent they??

would it be worth changing all the plugs and coils???

how much would i be looking at paying for that??
