The switch is a complete unit, from connector to the rocking part that you push on. Usually if the cable unit has gone bad inside the door, the window falls down. Then, RockAuto is your friend.

It's the entire switch, which include all window buttons and window lock. I've had to replace mine a few times. Always fails going up, so your stuck with an open window.

Wow, sounds like a common problem. My 07 is doing the same thing. You would think ford would do something about it.

Go in to AutoZone and ask for a power window switch for your truck. The part number will be sw6666 for a crew cab front driver side switch. It's 56.99 and has a lifetime warranty so if it happens again just bring it back and they will replace it.

They have to know, I'm sure, but obviously don't care. I have a couple friends who it's happened too, plus all the stories I've read on here.

It's too easy, no tools needed.Just pry up the part of your arm rest the switches stick up thru. The switch will be attached to it. Turn it over halfway and unclip the plugs on the bottom of the switch and then pull out the switch.
