my reverse lights on my truck arent working, does anyone know what this could be? options i can check, im not going to take it to the mechanic id like to just fix it myself so any advice and options i can try out would be appreciated

Check fuses and bulbs.

 

and if its not one of those climb under the truck and pull the connections on the tranny and spray them with contact cleaner. after the contact cleaner dries throw some dielectric grease on them and put them back together making sure they snap back together good.

i had the same problem when i got my truck and then later it turned into my range selector switch completly loosing power and my truck being stuck in 2nd gear untill i went threw the process above.
