Default Trottle Body --- TPS issues

Ongoing shut down in hot weather .....Two Ford Dealers replaced the Throttle body and TPS within a month and it still went into Limp Home Mode just last week. Ford Dealers say they can not find or isolate the problem. It seems to only happen when the outdoor temp is 90 or over.

Truck is a 2004 F150 XLT 4x4 4.6L V8
HELP!

Default TPS and Throttle Body issues

Hello ------ anyone have info on TPS and Throttle Body issues in hot weather. My 2004 has been to two ford dealers, had the TB replaced twice and still goes into Limp home Home mode in hot weather.

I dont have a for sure answer but mine throws a code for the TPS when it rains. I have been going over the ABS or Wheel speed sensors with no luck yet. Will be taking a look at the Fuel Pump Driver Module next. You probably have yours fixed by now. If you dont mind can or will you share the process of elimination you used and what the actual fix was? Thanks in advance

If it's a TPS code, you should replace the TPS. The FPDM should be replaced anyway due to corrosion from dissimilar metals. (Steel frame touching the zinc or aluminum body of the FPDM)

I looked at the rear abs sensor lastnite and added some dialectic grease between connector. Then put a little water just around the sensor and got truck over 35mph because it will not throw this code till you get to at least that speed and went back into limp mode. Still foing to catch fpdm because I guess the water might sling off the rear end and up to the fpdm. Probably going to throw both parts and a new connector on the abs sensor and see what happens. At least I know the area of issue now. O and the tps sensor was the first part I threw at it.

I finally got it fixed. Rear abs wires somehow smashed between the third member and exhaust. Melted the wires just enough to cause issues when wet. In the mean time I replaced the fpdm and have a new issue. It surges for power under acceleration, light or heavy. Emailed the company and think they are going to take care of it. Glad limp mode is gone!
