Default Which transmissions are compatible replacement for my pickup

Hello, I ran into transmission problems and just want to buy a replacement now and see about getting damaged one rebuilt as a backup for the future. However,. I'm finding it quite difficult to find a match. The door jam sticker has transmission labeled was code A. The transmission has a tag on it with code 5L3P-7000-BA. It's a 2005 V8 4.6L XLT 2WD. I believe transmission code A is a 4R70E transmission. Please correct me if that's incorrect! Can anyone tell me which transmissions would work with this pickup? And where I can purchase one? I haven't had any luck on eBay as yet, thinking maybe this particular transmission is not very popular...I don't know. Help please!! Thanks in advance!

Here's the trans codes for a 2004
Assuming it's the same then the 4r70e is what it says.

I wouldn't be surprised if a crown Vic uses the same trans as the 2wd f150, but I don't know what the difference is between a 4r70e/w or 4r75e/w they all share the majority of parts from what I understand it's the sensors and stuff that differs .

Why E-bay ?? try car-part.com enter all your info especially your zip.....After you fill in all the info pick your part etc.... then starting with the closest wrecking yard to your zip will now appear most come with price & mileagesc etc.
Here is link to used: especially if you are rebuilding your original?? Why not rebuild your trans & just go down the road...You don't need a back-up trans sitting someplace waiting to go in ...

thank you. Yes I think the difference with the w and E are the sensors. But I can do that research again. I knew it when I first purchased the vehicle but now I've forgotten.

I don't live in the USA so I usually send everything to my freight forwarder in Miami then they ship to me. I don't have us number so hope I can just do everything online with the company you recommended. Thank you!
