Do you have the factory tow package? If so, it should have the aux transmission cooler (more than just the mini core within the radiator).

My SCANGUAGE II monitors transmission temps. I average between 165 to 174 degree temps in the hot Texas days. I have an aftermarket trans cooler installed (my truck did not come with the factory tow package).

I Do heve the factory tow package with the tranny cooler... I also have my truck tuned to Heavy Tow onb the superchips Cortex... So I probably should be fine... How do you like your scan gauge 2... Thats one of the things I'm looking at.. iether that or getting rid of the Cortex and getting an Edge CS.

Love it. Since I did not have a need for a super duper tuner (not something that will do a 4.2 V6 any good anyhow), I bought the SCANGUAGE II.

Our Ford trucks provide the signal at the OBD II that the SG II can be programmed to display. Not all vehicles OBD II port provide this.
