I just bought a 2006 F150 5.4l 4x4, after taking it to the dealer for a transmission leak and tons of stuff, they say it needs replaced and I think I believe them.

They let me take pics of it and I see these strange welds on the bell housing right where it's leaking.

Is this some cheap fix that someone tried to do on the housing?
