Transmission related problems?
2004 4wd lariat supercrew. 110K miles
I recently had my transmission rebuilt. It growled and popped in first and reverse. Now I have two other problems and I want to know if they are related. The first is that the truck is slow to go in reverse even on level ground. This is worse when the truck is cold. I am confident this is tranny related and hopeful this is just some transmission fluid additive needed rather than another rebuild. The second is when I put it in 4wd, it will pop going forward and growl in reverse. It takes awhile for it to come out of 4wd as I need to rock it back and forth for a while. I would guess this isn't transmission related. However, I want to get opinions before I take it back to talk about the reverse issue. As a kicker, there is a little bit of shutter from the rear right but this may be parking brake catching rather than anything transmission related.
Thanks for reading.
