Exclamation Transmission range sensor bolt broke!!!

I was switching out my tranny range sensor and the bolt snapped on me. Does anybody have any earthly idea on how to take the shown piece out. Any help is much appreciated.

How did even happen? Pretty sure that's a stud, not a bolt.

I believe you will need to drop the pan to remove it. Find the replacement part and it will give you clues as to the removal procedure.

If it's indeed a bolt.. drill it out and easy out it.

For starters, I'd carefully apply some heat and try a GOOD pair if vise-grips. Wrap a wet cloth around the shaft next to the trans. case so you don't cook the seal.

There is a retaining pin. Drop the pan and remove it.

If there are any threads showing, use a Push Bar Pin Retaining Clip. Snapped mine off yesterday, the clip works well.
