Transmission Question
Hey guys,
So the money pitt keeps growing, and I need some help here. Saturday I had a guy locally fix the timing on my 05 f150, I went to pick it up and as he finished it up we went to go for a test drive. As he turned the car on the warm it up, he got a "trans Fault" and the o/d swapped off.
The Mech hooks up his computer and checks what's going on. I can't remember both codes but one of them is a P0720. Basically after some research I found this video:
At this point I've sank so much money into the truck I think I'm going to go ahead and spend a bit more to have this transmission rebuilt. I'll literally have a new truck (timing fixed, rear end rebuilt, new shocks/struts, new tires, new breaks and calipers, new tie rods).
I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a performance upgrade in parts for the tranny, and then an upgraded torque converter. I'm going to take this to a friend who charges $25 an hour for labor and does this all the time.
Thanks.
