Im new on here.. But I own a 2008 FX2 and I recently been havin transmission problems.. ever since it got cold when i leave my house at anytime and drive on cold start.. the transmission will shift so **** hard..(fine after warmup) but lately whenever i floor it the rpm will jump to 4-5k like it normally does but as soon as it does that it downshifts and makes the whole truck jump then goes back to the high rpm range and moves from there.

 

What's the condition of the transmission fluid? Pull the stick and first verify it's at the full mark (warmed, idling in PARK with emergency brake on).

Then smell it. Does it have a burnt smell?

 

Yeah fluid's good, like a pinkish color, looked clean. At 40,000 miles.

 

it's under warrenty...take it to the dealership...have them fix it.
