Default transmission help

So i have searched the forums, but can't really find anything that matches my problems so here it goes:

I have a 2005 2wd XLT f150 with 94k on it. Recently, I have been noticing that 3rd gear seems to wind out longer than first and second while accelerating from a light. Also, when I jump on it to pass it seems to bog at first them catch up with itself.
I am mechanically inclined, but I really need an outside opinion from someone who has either been through this problem or something close. It seems that it is starting to slip.
Now do I go through a rebuild or so i just order a new transmission with warranty? I plan on keeping the truck as I am going back to school and its almost paid off.

Thanks in advance

Huh? Are you driving this currently? Unless you're stranded I don't think they're going to rebuild this or anything like that. It's difficult to get warranty work on something that labour intensive from manufacturers. They always seem to try to weasel their way out of things. I would recommend having this professionally diagnosed before taking any futher steps.

Probably the clutches are worn needing more fluid and pressure to shift and apply on a down shift. I would probably replace it you'll get a better warranty but I'd get it perfessionally diagnosed
