I have a 2006 150 4.6 2wd auto(poss 4r70w). when i put it in reverse, chech engine light comes on, o/d light on dash blinks, and trans malfunction is displayed in message center in cluster. pulled the codes and found -
p0705 trans range sensor circuit .....
p1705 trans range sensor .......
could not find any diagnosis online so didnt see ne obvious damage to wiring, so i replaced the trs. cleared the codes and was good for about a day. codes came back. it sometimes slams into reverse. trans seems to be shifting normally in all foward gears. dont know where to go now or if this is a common problem with a quick fix. any help would be awesome.
