Default Transmission cooler help

I'm looking to upgrade the transmission cooler on my 06 XL, can anyone tell me what the difference is between the standard (6L3Z7A095A) and heavy-duty (6L3Z7A095B) cooler are? In the pictures I have seen they look the same.

From what I gather they are the pretty much the same same.

I have done quite a bit of pulling my 28' enclosed loaded up way heavier than what I should have been towing with a half-ton in the dead of summer (arizona, new mex, texas) and several hills and some idle and I never saw any hotter than 210-215. Normal going down the road was like 175-180. I just kept the OD off unless it was flat and the wind was at our back and tried to go no faster than 65. The next time we made that trip it was similar ambient temps but i had just flushed the tranny and put new fluid in and I only saw a high of 205.

I normally would have pulled with my F250 but it got hit in a parking lot 2 days before the trip and messed up the left front.

Yea that's getting pretty warm lol, Tranmission temp should never be hotter than engine temp just a rule of thumb. Highest i've gotten mine is like 175 and thats with a heavy foot in mid day downtown at redlights. I usually cruise around at 150 degrees.

Ok, I lied, I did some research and looked at them side by side and the part that ends in "B' is literally twice the cooling size of the part that end in 'A'. If you have the max tow package you should have part 'B'.

And as far as temps go, anything under 225 is fine, thats when the fluid starts to reach its breaking point, but the cooler the better, to a certain point anyway. Without my trailer mine usually runs in the 145-150 range.

I had an older jeep cherokee and the book that came with my rebuilt tranny said normal operating temp for it was 180.

Any idea if the "B" part will use the existing lines or if it will need new ones? Tasca's parts list shows only one set of lines so I think it can, but I'd like to be sure.
