Default Transmission codes

Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with my 05 4.6 with the 4r70w tranny. The only thing that works is reverse, I hooked up the scanner and she threw the following codes:
P0720 - output shaft speed sensor circuit
P0722 - output shaft speed sensor circuit no signal
P0731- Gear 1 incorrect ratio
P2106 - forced limited power
Just wanted to see if anyone could help me save some time determining whether or not the transmission is shot, or potentially just a wiring issue with the sensors?
Thank you in advance.

Looks like a new transmission is in order.

The logical 'cascade' nature of those codes would sure lead ME to expend some effort making sure there is not a wiring or sensor problem before condemning the transmission. The first code could very logically lead to each of the successive ones.

I would check the harness you could have critters that may have chewed through wires. If all that checks out you most likely are looking at a rebuild.

Sounds like the forward drum is broken. It is pretty common. You can replace it with the same one, or go with a billet aluminum one. Either way, the trans needs to be rebuilt.
