Default transmission?

Does anyone make a good plug kit to drain the fluid without dropping the pan? 2007 5.4L 4x4

Keep in mind that you are only changing about 3.5 to 4 quarts....the tranny holds about 9 quarts total.

It actually holds 14 according to my owners manual. I want a way to drain it before removing the pan. I will not put my truck on a flush machine, but have used the transmission lines to Pump the old fluid out and add it back through the fill tube as it pumps it out.

I think this is the part# for the OEM pan with drain plug...

F8UZ-7A194-AA

Same as regular, with a plug. +/- $55.00

I plan on getting a PML tranny cover next time I'm due for tranny service. It's 3.5 qts over stock and has magnetic drain plug and fill hole as well.

I went with the PML rear differential cover...1/2 pint oversize and more important magnetic drain and fill plugs. Easy to change differential fluid when you need to .
