Default transmission

So I have a 2004 f150 and my truck has a tough time engaging into reverse, my guess is its the trans. So I changed the fluid and filter, added two quarts of anti slip and still have the problem. I wanted some advice on either getting the trans rebuilt or finding a new one. Also what price ill be looking at to fix this. I'll be dropping the trans myself and re installing it but can't rebuild it myself.

I I were having my own trans. rebuilt by a reputable trans. shop, I would ask them how much more to have them do the R&R too. I sure wouldn't go used unless I was short on cash. I don't know about getting a rebuilt one online though. The Ford dealer prices to do the trans rebuild and R&R ore $3 +.
A good independent trans shop might even be able to fix the problem. Worth a try.

As stated, only a good, reputable transmission shop can quote you a price. I'd too examin the cost of repairing the reverse issue over a total rebuild. More than likely, they will not be able to tell you until they open it up. I'd take it to a trannsmission shop and let them test drive it prior to you removing it.

So went to put my truck in reverse, won't even engage in reverse now. Showed up with a trans fault error shut the truck off and tried again, still won't but doesn't show trans fault error. It shifts through all the gears just fine but will not engage In reverse...what now?

Dude you have seriously been given the answer to your problem and you are this naive? Take the ****ing thing to a transmission shop so they can diagnose the problem. You do know that certified technicians go to school just for this one specific part because it is just that unbelievably complicated.
