Default Transfer Leak

I have a very mild (class 1) transfer case leak on the back side. IS there any topics or how to's on here to repair it? 04 F-150 FX4 Looks as simple as just replacing the sealant maybe

Looking for answers myself. Replaced my driveshaft and the leak started. Replaced seal with a Timeken and still leaks. Not sure what to do.

Class 1? military? Sorry, I was a military diesel machanic (still am officially for another week). The only thing I can say is to look at the output seal. It shouldn't be that hard to replace if it's got dirt/debri on it. just make sure you don't damage the new one on installation. But coming from the military, I can tell you that our response (maintenance) was to wash and reinspect after 30 miles. lol. That was on military vehicles though, so take it for what you will.

Dakkine2 did you measure the outside diameter of the new yolk with a pair of calipers? It might be just a bit smaller than factory. That could be causing your problem.

Manuellabour247 Sure did. When the yolk is inserted into the boot part of the seal it's snug enough to make it want to fold in. Output shaft doesn't have any play. Gonna replace it again and see what happens.
