Default Transfer Case Fluid

i've searched a lot of threads and not finding much on what brand of Mercron to use in the transfer case. What brand do you use and has anyone tried Royal Purple Synthetic? The back of the bottle says it is good for just about every type of ATF fluid, but I am am leery of using it in the transfer case.

It uses the same Mercon V as your transmission does, two quarts capacity. Not familiar with the Royal Purple but a lot of members swear by it. Ive heard that it's a good idea to make sure that your fill plug will come out easily before draining your transfer case.
