Hence why i'm upgrading the shift kit..... If I had the $$$ it would get upgraded clutch packs, main & stub shaft, and drum too.

 

I'm in the process of saving up to build a 2wd 4R70W for my mustang. It will be a 950rwhp monster.

 

Am i lucky then? 184k shifts fine and all

 

Just had a trans rebuild too. I made it to 137000. Picked it up yesterday. I had the builder install a double clutch 2600-2800 stall torque converter, shift kit, upgraded servos, upgraded solenoids, and heavy duty clutches/ plates. It's like a whole new truck!! I can't believe the difference it made. Good luck on your rebuild.

My 05 F150 transmission went at 184k

 

I got the truck back a day early..... The shift kit is a stage 2+...... It barks the tires on 1-2 shift now.

 

damn I wish I would have done some upgrades, what did you all change?
