trans cooler??

Question trans cooler??

probably a dumb question and everyone knows but me.....but i wont know til i ask.....



and further away (under front of truck on passenger side)

the trans cooler is in front of the radiator, its a little bit bigger IIRC than the power steering one

ahhh...i didnt know we needed a PS cooler. and i thought the transcooler was bigger anyways.

You would think ford would have included that in the tow package. But with the plug thingy don't take anything for granted. I need to find out if that cooler is adequate for my vehicle. I just want to prolong the life of any transmission I have $$$$

The cooler from the factory (picture above) is very adequate.

I have one and it keeps my tranny around 150* without any trouble. I think the highest I've recorded was ~160* while towing. There was also someone on here that added 2 small aftermarket coolers which got his down to 140*
