hey guys, just thought I would share an issue I had with my truck for quite a while that just got resolved.

Since very early on in the ownership of my truck is has hard shifted into 2nd gear intermittently. On one occasion it even miss shifted and slipped in 2nd gear. No codes and no other symptoms. The truck now has 27k on it and the tranny tech at Heller Ford in Escondido, Ca. Dave talked tech support into letting him tear the tranny down and do some work (i have the 6" lift so they were hesitant).

Anyways, he got the work done just in time for my move from California to Idaho, I towed another car for the 2k mile trip and the tranny has shifted perfect everytime since. Just thought I would post the work he did so if anyone else has a similar issue, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Installed 9L3Z 7A019 A :Ring Gear
Installed 1L3Z 7C155 AA :Gasket
Installed 1W7Z 7D100 AB :Gasket
Installed 5C2Z 7G383 AB :Solenoid
Installed 7L3Z 7A089 D :Clutch Assy
Flushed Transmission Fluid

absolutely nothing, under warranty baby 27 k on the truck, i have an 08 screw 2wd. and if a dealership tries to give anyone crap about not covering warranties because of a lift, this is proof that Ford will stand behind their product as long as the tech feels the lift isn't causing the problem.

did you receive a statement with prices on the work done?
as in what you would of paid if it had not been covered.
