Default Train horn help

How has everyone mounted and wired their train horns? I haven't found any really useful threads.

The few that I've done I mounted on the roof. Keep in mind they were for ambulances. They were not run off air but I installed foot pedals for activating them. Just wired em up like you would a toggle switch. You would hear the horn way before the sirens...

Back in high school I had a few friends that had train horns and they usually mounted them to their frame under the truck. They also ran air compressors to power the horn and those were usually installed in their toolboxes in the bed.
