Hey guys first post "ive been lurking for a while". I have a 2008 f150 4x4 with the 4.6. I am assuming it has the 8.8 31 spline rear axle. My truck has 373 with an open diff. I have found a traction lok limited slip for this axle for cheap. My question is will it fit in the open carier? I know their are several better options than the oem limted slip but i do not off road that much and like i said the price is cheap.

No the trac lok will not fit in your open carrier, the trac lok is a complete carrier and will need to be swapped in place of your open diff carrier.
