Default TPS question

So i have had a hesitation while under hard accelerating between 3-4,000 rpm for about a year now and it has finally gotten on my nerves enough to start looking into what is causing it. I figured the TPS so i probed the 1st (.9v) and 4th(4.1ish volts) wire and they are reading with in the specs, that i have, at idle so i hooked up the oscope and did a throttle blip and while i would call it a smooth ramp up and down i wouldnt think that it was bad enough to warrant replacing it. So am I'm looking in to the wrong sensor or did i do something wrong?

thanks

The sensor might be fine. When's the last time you simply cleaned the throttle body?

Pull the negative off the battery and pull the TB and clean it and your MAF and do a re-learn after.

When my tps went out the engine rpm was all over the place and finally wouldn't run but for a few seconds. My throttle body was all gunked up but had been cleaned. Mechanic shop next door couldn't clear the code so I did some research and found that to be a common problem. BTW, I got a code for the tps sensor so found it quickly when I bought a dongle and got the software.
