Default TPMS question

I want to put '09 or '10 wheels on an '08. Can you use the bands on the newer wheels or do I have to use the valve stem type?

I'm running 20" wheels from a 2012 Lariat on my 08. Just bought new bands to attach the existing sensors from my old wheels to the new 20s. Zero problems.

The valve stem type run on a different frequency and won't work for you. You'll have to buy new bands and transfer the sensors out of your old wheels.

The bands will work on pretty much any style of rim.

Yes, you can use the banded sensors on the newer wheels.

You can also get universal stem sensors. Just had a set put in some wheels that I got that didn't have them and got tired of the light being on.
