I just left mine off of my new wheels... the little light on the dash is annoying, but that's why I manually check the psi once a week lol. Call me cheap I guess...

So, I'm assuming you have a GSXR1000? LOL, I had a 600 until it got wrecked...

IMO, you should get the sensors. I hate that stupid light! If the light wont bother you, then **** it and go senseless.

Is there a way to get the light turned off....possibly hooking up a computer and turning it off?

The light cannot be turned off. Federal law I do believe. What size rims are you getting?? Just get a bigger band for your sensor and re-use the old ones. Just make sure whoever puts on the wheels and tires to not damage them.

18 inch rims...crap..the rims and tires I'm getting already come mounted and balanced so I wanted to just break the bead in that one spot to throw in the valve sensors

You could spend $40 and see how long those aftermarket sensors work for you or you could spend an extra 40 minutes and use the old sensors and do it the right way! Just my 2 cents!!
