Default Towing question

Morning guys! Greetings From Northern California. So I'm hauling my explorer down to Southern California, nice 6 hour drive, so here's the question I have overdrive and 4x4, what setup would you haul in? 4x4 high? I'm more concerned about the grapevine.

2wd only. Turn OD off if you hear / feel the tranny hunting for the right gear. Otherwise, leave it on and you'll be fine.

Just be prepared to be running around 40 mph in the truck lane. It'll jump up to 4000 rpm if you try to maintain more than 45. It'll go faster, but your gambling with your paycheck. Patience is key when towing with this truck.

I towed a jeep about 3 hours on the highway at 70 in overdrive. It did fine. You only use 4wd in dirt. Never use it on concrete
