Default Towing question

I have an 2007 f150 4x4 extended cab, 4.6, factory tow package, tow limit 6950. Kit trailer, 4100 dry weight. Do you think it is safe to tow this cross country? I have 55000 on the vehicle.
I have towed the trailer around locally and it does pretty good, except on hills. I do have a stabilizer bar I plan to use on it.
Any thoughts on this?

you answered your own question

the 4.6 is underpowered for the truck to start with, add the trailer and it is a slug, especially on grades.

It will do the job, but it is not going to be happy about it

My biggest concern is that I might do damage to the truck. I do have an extended service warranty. Just don't want to damage it.

Just keep od off and u will be fine, just slower up the grades. Let me say again do not use overdrive.
