My father wants to borrow my truck to tow a ford focus to the outerbanks . It s about 300 miles with flat ground, does he need to tow a the car with the overdrive off to keep the transmission from running hot? I don't know how good the transmission cooler is being I've only had the truck 3 months. Its a 07' 5.4L crewcab lariat. He will be using a U-Haul car carrier.
