I searched first but want to ask just to make sure. 2004 F150, 5.4, towing package. Pull small motorcycle trailer max 1000 pounds. Should I worry about turning OD off? What I have been doing is turning off in town or when hilly interstate. Should I judge based on excessive shifting? What is bottom line to know when to not use??

unless its a pretty heavy load i only turn mine off when it wont hold the OD gear and i usually shut it off around town because i like the engine braking.
