Default Towing

Heres the numbers:

Truck: 2006 5.4L f150 Supercab XLT 4x4 with 3:55 axle, 145 WB with 7200 GVWR and 14,000 GCVR (EB Equiped)

My question for the FORD GODS is: what is the biggest enclosed trailer do you recomend I haul?

Bit of background: I am converting this trailer into a camper/man cave; you know... a quick getaway from life, wife and kids! So I doubt I will ever come close to the GVWR of the trailer itself. Could I handle a 8x20? But, for the record I am moving with family to Oregon in August of this year from Kansas.

Let me have! Thanks guys!

no reason why you can't handle a 20'er
the only thing you need to worry about is overall weight and tongue weight...if the balance is ok then go for it, if you end up with too much tongue weight you might need to beef up the back springs ( or air bags)to compensate for it...you want the trailer riding level or just a bit nose down so you don't have a speed wobble issue. oh, and make sure you got proper mirrors to see around it

20' is easy.

you can tow any trailer with double 3500lbs axle easy (even the 6" higher ceiling one)

Don't wait that the truck will be fuel efficient, but it will tow.

My toyhauler is 8(as any travel trailer) x 23' and weight 7000lbs loaded.
my truck same as you but 2wd
tow great!
