Default Tow mirror question

I was looking at getting tow mirrors for my 05 f-150. However, i do not have heated mirrors or the turn signals in the mirrors. Does this mean that none of the tow mirrors will work because most of them have the turn signals in the mirrors along with a puddle light. I didn't think that any of the older generations had a puddle light. The ebay sellers say that you have to have the stock options on your truck for the mirrors to work. The question im trying to ask is, what are my options for tow mirrors?

If you had done at least one search you would've found your answer in 10 seconds because this has been covered countless times.

You can get 2007+ tow mirrors with signals and everything but you'll have to swap some pins. Do a search and you'll find the pins needing to be swapped to get signals working. Heat and puddle will have to be wired DIY.

I believe what they are saying is if you buy a tow mirror with heat and signal, but that truck wasn't pre-wired for those features it will not work. Either way the power adjust should still work on the tow mirrors

As stated... My 06 only had power mirror, I ran new wires and have everything now thanks to the other post giving step be step directions. Easy job, just a little time consuming. Good Luck.

Ok so I put the tow mirrors on. Mirrors were for a 7-14 f150 but as stated they did bolt up but was not plug and play. Had to swap a couple pins and they worked. Wired in the puddle light which was a PITA running the wire from the pass side all the way to the drivers side. Put it all back together and found out my pass side mirror didn't work. Well, I Ended up cutting the yellow wire by accident when I was cutting the boot to run the puddle light wire. Whole job ended up taking 4 hours which was ALOT longer than I had expected. Overall, I am happy with the mirrors and love the lower convex mirror for the blind spot. I bought the mirrors for $90 for the pair.
