Default Tow mirror help

I recently bought tow mirrors with power everything and turn signal and puddle lights. I put them on yesterday and the power part of the adjustment of the mirrors work but no turn signal or puddle lights do. I have read that it is two pins that need to be switched but haven't been able to figure out how with just the search bar. Can anyone help me or send me in the right direction in getting both turn signal and puddle lights working.. Also I have a 06 xlt. Thanks in advanced

On the truck mirror connector there is a red cap take it off and then use a small diameter safety pin to dislodge the barbed hook on the pin

Then that's all? Are you talking about the plug that you plug in to get power or are you talking about on the mirror behind that foam piece?

The plug that plugs into the mirror when the mirror is off its the only one left to work with
