Forgot to update this a while back. I don't know what I did but I finally got a couple OBD cycles to show up and am now seeing the misfire tests again. No misfires and everything is going well with the app!

Well @StephenG, par for the course - you got rid of your Truck's PID just about the time I figured out some more stuff about it.

I GUESS this might still be an appropriate place to post the info though. Wouldn't want to post OFF TOPIC

I figured out that PID# 0100 is designated correctly as "TRIPCNT" - "_Number of completed OBDII Trips". This is incremented each time ALL the monitors have successfully run. As soon as they all run/completed, they started over again & this will increment again at next completion of all them. Mine is only to 13 now, two more than when we last spoke. (The frustrating part is - different vendors use different 'Acronyms' for these things, ie: for this one TRIPCNT, TRIP_CNT, and TRIP CNT.)

I figured out that PID# 0101 is "DRIVECT" sometimes known as RUN CT - "_Number of Drive cycles". Has nothing to do with cold soak or warmups, but will be cleared with DTC or battery disconnect. Mine is up around 1000 now since we spoke.

(These TWO are in the Standard OBD series and should work on all vehicles. They - and the ones below on a FORD F150 would be an excellent ones to check on a used vehicle purchase).

There are "BUNCHES & BUNCHES" of misfire PIDs and FLAGS associated with misfire that are 'informative', though they won't tell anyone "GO buy this part and put it on and your misfire will be gone!" The ones I've found - though not all checked out as I'm not having any misfires right now.

PID# 1616 = "MFTOT" - _Misfire Total" during the current Drive Cycle (includes during and after 1st 1000 Revs) Resets each Key Off. I see this occur (infrequently) on my vehicle when I "FIRST" start it up. It does NOT reset PID 16DC every time - ie: if it occurs during the 1st 1000 revs. (I suppose Ford expected those to happen occassionally - IDK).

PID# 16DC = "MFF_0_CNT" - _Number of Drive cycles ("Run" cycles) with ZERO misfires occuring AFTER 1st 1000 Revs) Misfire after 1st 1000 revolutions - or clear of DTCs will zero this counter. (Also sometimes designated with acrynom "CLRWRMUP", "MFF_T_CNT" - IDK why?) This reading on mine has gotten up to 40 - I have seen 1 or 2 misfire counts in MFTOT - but monitoring this I caught 1 that 'reset' this PID to zero.

PID# 16DD b0 = "MPLRN" - _Misfire Wheel Profile Learned in KeepAliveMemory. Can be accessed in torque with formula {A:0} producing 1 or 0.

PID# 16DD b1 = "MFF_PNP" - _In Drive at time of Misfire. Formula {A:1} producing 1 for yes 0 for NO.

PID# 16D3 = "MFF_RPM" - _Engine RPM at time of Misfire, Units RPM

PID# 16D4 = "MFF_LOAD" - _Engine LOAD at time of Misfire, Units % 0-100% Formula = ((A*256)+B)*(128/32767)

PID# 16D5 = "MFF_VS" - _Vehicle Speed at time of Misfire, Units km/h or mph (depends on Torque general settings)

PID# 16D6 = "MFF_IAT" - _Intake Air Temperature at time of Misfire, Units Degrees (C/F depends on general Torque settings)

PID# 16D7 = "MFF_SOAK" - _Engine-Off soak time last KeyOff at time of Misfire, Units Integer Minutes 0-65535

PID# 16D8 = "MFF_RNTM" - _Engine Run Time at time of Misfire, Units Integer Minutes 0-255 (stops counting at 255)

PID# ???? (suspect 16D9) = "MFF_EGR" - _EGR DFPE Sensor at time of Misfire, units = volts (Formula ???)

PID# 16DA = "MFF_TP" - _Throttle position at time of Misfire, Units Volts 0-5 Formula = (((A*256)+B)/32767)*5

Now with that - we should be able to get some more heads up on Misfires on these 5.4's

From the F150Torqued library of too much information. Anyhow, I Hope this helps someone!!
