i bought a 2008 FX4 a couple of months ago that was slightly used (20k miles) and i love the truck. but.......there is an issue with it. the lady that had it before me put some chrome on it and i think it has way too much chrome. the mirrors, runnin bars, door handles, etc.

i want all that chrome on the exterior to be black. is there a kit for that? should i try to trade with someone who wants the chrome? yalls thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

have you checked along the edges of the handles and mirrors to see if they are just stick on covers? if so then you can pull them off and black is underneath.

 

negative the door handle have the keyless entry and are not the cover kind, i wish though lol. i am not sure about the mirrors though. but even if they were id still have the runnin bars and bumper...

 

I had the same thing happen to me, I bought a used one not too long ago, all I removed was the crome beteeen the driver and pasenger windows, on the B pillars area. I need the chrome cover for the driver side w/o keyless entry. The way people are breaking into trucks is knocking out the lock on the drivers side. I have the crome on all the handels but the drivers door one has the key hole exposed. I want to place one over it that dosnt have the hole.
