Default Tires and wheels

Ok so i'm wanting to get Goodyear wrangler Duratracs. i currently have Bridgestone Dueler ATS P265/70/17. Now i have no idea what all that means? So if i'm wanting to get 33s do i need new rims? or what? Or stick with that size tire because i don't mind the look. Newbie here so don't hate on me that much

Your current tire 265/70/17 specs are as follows
Diameter: 31.6"
Width: 10.43"
Sidewall: 7.3"

Here are your options for a few 33" tires on 17" rims.

285/70/17 would be a 32.8" tire
Diameter: 32.7"
Width: 11.22"
Sidewall: 7.85"

295/70/17 would be a 33.3" tire
Diameter: 33.3"
Width: 11.61"
Sidewall: 8.13"

275/75/17 would be a 33.2" tire
Diameter: 33.2"
Width: 10.83"
Sidewall: 8.12"

Check out this link:
http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/

If you type your numbers into the calculator on the link it will tell you the exact dimensions of your tire. Start typing in some numbers on the link and figure out what size width you want and how much rubber really want.

At any rate, if you want a taller tire, understand that you will need a wider tire as well for stability. Wider tires tend to lead to rubbing. If you have a 4x4 you can fit 33's no problem but if you wanted 35's you would need to at least put on a leveling kit.

Hopefully this is at least of some help to you!
