Default Tires?

Hello all, I'm a new member. I have a question or two...
I have a 2005 F-150 screw, dark stone metallic (monotone), 4.6L, 2wd.
I got rid of the oem 255/65-17 Conticraps at 6800 miles. Just couldn't take the tiny donut tires anymore. Had to do alot of honeydo's for my wife...you know. I replaced them w 265/70-17 BFG radial long trails - larger and slightly more aggressive. I didnt want to go too aggressive and end up with a louder and harsher ride on a brand new $28,000 truck, and have to "hear it" from my wife. I'm sure some of you can understand.
Now that you have my background, here is my issue...
I only have about 35,000 miles on the BFGs, but of course I'm ready for a larger and more aggressive tires. (I was ready 10,000 miles into them). I like the 4x4 off road look, but I know I drive a 4x2. I don't think I want to level the front, so 285s are probably too big, and I think an aggressive BFG AT KO wouldn't look right on a 2wd.
I'm thinking a 275/70-17, possibly Goodyear AT Extreme or Silent Armor. There aren't too many choices in that size. Any advice???

I know it's a long post, but I thought I'd lay it all out...

Thanks, in advance...

Welome aboard! You might want to check out the "tire and wheel fitment guide" Sticky at the top of this section. It might provide you with what you're looking for.

Thx,
Hey Bucko, did I read on another post that you put black fender flares on a dark stone truck? Got any pics?
